Failing forward: creative frustration exhibition
19th of july 2018: opening at 19:00

Zpaţiu (Casa Zemstvei Guberniale, str. Al. Şciusev 103, Chişinău)
“Frustration is a common emotional response to opposition, related to anger, annoyance and disappointment, frustration arises from the perceived resistance to the fulfillment of an individual’s will or goal.”
This feeling can be transformed into an artistic creation. Come to the exhibition to see examples of this transformation and bring your artwork related to your own experience of frustration.
Elodie and Katarina are EVS volunteers who have spent almost one year in Moldova. To finalize their stay, they are organizing an exhibition confronting some of the difficulties they have faced and wish to combine their creations with those of local artists.
“Since our arrival in Chisinau, we have had to change some of our habits and face daily frustrations, such as the accumulation of plastic bags on the one hand or the impossibility of finding opportunities to wear beautiful outfits on the other. We decided not to suffer these inconveniences and to turn them into objects of art.
We are looking for creative people who are also influenced by frustration and we invite them to share their approach with us in a collaborative exhibition running from 19-21July 2018.
You can apply now and help us prepare the exhibition or you can come on the opening day and bring your work, related to the topic of frustration, for which we will leave an empty space in the room.”

Элоди и Катарина — волонтёры программы EVS, которые провели в Молдове почти год. Завершая свое пребывание, девушки организуют выставку, посвященную некоторым трудностям, с которыми им пришлось столкнуться за этот год. Все работы объединены темой «фрустрация» — психическое состояние, возникающее в ситуации реальной или предполагаемой невозможности удовлетворения тех или иных потребностей, или, проще говоря, в ситуации несоответствия желаний имеющимся возможностям.
«Во время пребывания в Кишинёве, нам пришлось изменить некоторые из наших привычек и ежедневно сталкиваться с фрустрацией. Например, вынужденное накопление пластиковых пакетов, с одной стороны, или невозможность носить красивые наряды в городской среде. Вместо того, чтобы страдать от этих неудобств, мы решили превратить их в объекты искусства.
Мы открыты для творческих людей, которые также находятся под влиянием фрустрации и приглашаем их поделиться своим подходом на этой совместной выставке. Вы можете подать заявку и помочь нам подготовить выставку, или можете прийти в день открытия и принести свою работу, связанную с темой фрустрации, мы оставим для неё пустое место в комнате. »

Выставка также будет открыта 20 и 21 июля с 16:00 до 20:00, в пространстве Zpațiu (str. Șciusev 103, здание Музея Земств)
